Emmerdale is building a quiet sense of mystery around the holiday episode, and much of it seems to circle back to Moira as the village prepares for a calm Christmas morning that might not stay calm for long. The hints feel soft at first, almost comforting, but something about these scenes suggests more is coming. Keep scrolling to know more.

A Warm Morning In The Village

The channel has given some hints as to what viewers could expect on Christmas Day. It begins outside the Woolpack, where the crowd gathers cheerfully. The director, Vicky Thomas, explained that the day will open with a pleasant atmosphere. It’s because many familiar villagers take part in the scene.

She further described it as a lovely start that matches the tone for a peaceful holiday. Elsewhere in the early part of the episode, Chas calls out from the upstairs window while Charity hands out warm mulled wine. She also tries to get Chas to help with the work. It’s a playful and light moment. Moreover, from here the episode will move through several homes across the village. And even the camera shifts from one family’s celebration to another.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ director said that every point of the trip has a nice vibe to it, which gives the entire morning a more rounded visual ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌impression. Elsewhere, these episodes are filmed in October and November. And the director admitted that shooting Christmas scenes during colder and darker weeks was unusual. Still, the cast wore Christmas jumpers and kept the atmosphere warm. She‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ said jokingly that the jumpers sometimes make them forget that they are shooting months ahead, and that is why they can add a little bit of charm to the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌process.

Moira’s Holiday And Two Surprise Arrivals In Emmerdale

The episode begins on a cheerful note. However, things became interesting when one long-running cast member shared some clues. Natalie J Robb, who has played Moria for years, gave a hint. She said that her character will spend Christmas with Cain and the rest of the family.

She also revealed that the festive storyline includes two surprising arrivals who join the family gathering. And one of these will also get Cain to dance. This will lead to a few amusing moments that the entire team enjoyed filming. However, the comfort doesn’t last long. Natalie said that Moria’s journey after Christmas will be difficult. Moreover, many episodes are coming before the Corriedale episodes. For more Emmerdale spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
