The holidays arrive in Coronation Street, but the happiness doesn’t last long. Christmas cheer quickly mixes with tension, secrets, and a few messy surprises. From family bust-ups to romantic slip-ups, the festive season brings more drama than anyone bargained for.
Monday 22nd December: Debbie Distracted, Eva Upset & Becky on the Move
Debbie tries to ignore Carl’s suspicious behaviour as he secretly transfers money from her account, while Ronnie hints that her friends have planned a hen do she’s not excited about. Carl hides his frustration when Ronnie mentions his solicitor visit, and Abi rushes after Carl when he gets a worrying phone call.
Eva becomes emotional when Ben suggests having a baby, and Maggie becomes nosey after Carl mentions finding Eva’s credit card at Chariot Square. Meanwhile, Becky sneaks into Costello’s hospital transfer by flashing Lisa’s badge, and over at the antenatal class, David accidentally annoys the teacher again.
Wednesday 24th December: A Kiss, A Letter & Maggie Stirring Trouble
Becky tries to help Lisa relax for Christmas, but things get awkward when she leans in for a kiss. Lisa keeps her distance and sends Carla a loving message instead. At the Rovers, Adam suggests Eva write her feelings in a letter to ease her guilt.
Maggie later snoops through Eva’s handbag and finds the letter, quickly realising she can use it to cause trouble. She invites Adam and Alya to Christmas dinner to set the stage. Meanwhile, Carl gets drunk and texts James, and Sally takes the kids to the prison gates so Lou can see their Christmas banner.
Thursday 25th December: Maggie’s Mean Gift & Lisa’s Growing Worry
Maggie invites Daniel and Bertie to lunch, annoying Will. Eva panics when she notices her letter is missing, and Ben walks in on her and Adam holding hands as Adam tries to comfort her. Tension rises at the table, especially when Maggie hands Ben a nasty Secret Santa present.
Across the street, Becky kisses Lisa’s neck during present opening, leaving Lisa uncomfortable. She becomes more worried when Roy texts saying Carla never checked into her hotel. Meanwhile, Carl has fun with James, Theo loses his temper at Todd, and a smashed wine glass brings Christmas charades to an early end.
Friday 26th December: Evelyn’s Shocking Discovery & Todd’s Plans Derailed
Evelyn walks through the ginnel and freezes when she finds a badly beaten resident left for dead. The discovery sends shockwaves through the street right as everyone tries to recover from Christmas Day.
Over at the flat, Theo surprises Todd with a mini-break, which lifts Todd’s spirits for a moment. But the mood changes quickly when Todd realises the trip clashes with the event Summer arranged for him.
Monday 29th December: Carla’s Silence Raises Red Flags & Theo’s Anger Boils Over
Sarah mentions that Carla hasn’t answered any of her emails, which prompts Kit to dig into Carla’s diary for clues. Meanwhile, everyone gathers at the Bistro for George and Glenda’s joint party, and Theo becomes jealous when Sarah casually reveals Todd once had a crush on Nick.
Theo offers to pick up the cake but ends up berating Todd for “flirting” with Nick, eventually driving off without him. Elsewhere, Will encourages Ben to make up with Maggie, and Maggie later admits she was too harsh with Eva.
Tuesday 30th December: Becky Pushes to Escape & Abi Shares a Fear
Becky becomes more desperate to leave the country with Lisa and Betsy, hoping to rush the plan through before anything else gets in the way. Meanwhile, Theo does everything he can to wedge himself between Todd and Billy.
Maggie attempts a mild apology to Eva as the Driscolls wonder if they can move past the recent drama. Across the street, Abi confides in Tracy that she worries Carl will break her heart, and Evelyn wonders if Tyrone is avoiding physio out of fear.
Wednesday 31st December: Kit Cracks a Clue & Carl Opens Up
Kit asks Asha if Costello said anything unusual, and she remembers he repeated three strange phrases. Kit realises it could be a “What Three Words” location clue. At the Rovers, Todd tries to enjoy drinks with Billy, George, Christina and Summer, though he’s clearly nervous.
Carl visits Elaine at the chapel of rest and tells Ronnie he grew up feeling unloved, which makes relationships difficult. Ronnie gently questions Carl’s commitment to Abi, while Ryan becomes suspicious when hotel invoices and passwords suddenly don’t add up.
Thursday 1st January: Becky Speeds Up Her Plan & Todd Faces the Truth
Kit visits Costello at the hospital and tells him he knows the empty flat belongs to him. Once Kit leaves, Becky appears and thanks Costello for keeping quiet. Lisa says she’s ready to move to Spain but wants to talk to Carla first, pushing Becky to move even faster.
Billy and Summer drop by unexpectedly, and Theo begins quizzing Billy about someone dealing with abuse. After they leave, Theo takes his anger out on Todd again. Todd finally gets out of the flat long enough to hear a voicemail where Theo claims he can’t live without him. Meanwhile, Debbie enjoys a pamper day as Kevin prepares to confront Carl.
Friday 2nd January: Debbie’s Wedding Chaos & Todd’s Bruises Come to Light
Debbie worries when she breaks her glasses on her wedding morning. Bernie promises to find something lucky, and the guests board the coach for the ceremony. Abi checks Carl’s car and finds a bag full of cash, but by the time they reach the hotel, it has vanished. She quietly tells Kevin she thinks Carl plans to run.
During the reception, Todd spills juice on his shirt and goes to clean up. Billy follows and spots bruises all over Todd’s body, instantly realising something is very wrong. Meanwhile, Lisa hands Sarah Carla’s engagement ring before leaving, and Becky insists they ditch their phones before heading for the ferry.
