Lesley Manville Reveals Her Secret Bossy Side!
Lesley Manville, who is an Oscar-nominated star, made an appearance in the soap earlier. She appeared on the show when it was known as Emmerdale Farm. The Phantom Thread actor played the character of Rosemary Kendall in the village. She made an appearance on the Yorkshire soap for a short period between February 1975 and April 1976. Though she had a brief stint, she still remembers her soap days.
The soap actor made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She opened up about her experience in the Dales. Lesley said that she was quite bossy, even with the established seasoned actors that she was working with at that time. She would give them pointers, thinking that she was helping them.
She added that it made her fellow actors go crazy when she said that they were meant to stand there or give other directions. Lesley Manville revealed that she hasn’t changed since her days on Emmerdale Farm. She is currently on Broadway in Oedipus. The star said that though she has learned to keep her mouth shut, she is still like that.

Furthermore, Lesley Manville also acted in the theatre version of Les Liaisons Dangereuses, which was written by Christopher Hampton and directed by Marianne Elliott. She starred opposite Aidan Turner in a run at London’s National Theatre. The play will be out next summer as a part of the NT Live series.
