This year, Aaron Dingle met John Sugden, who ended up putting him in danger. He jumped off the cliff along with him. Aaron was in a coma but soon woke up. He disclosed all his crimes and also said that he held Mack captive. Soon, John fled, and Robert and Aaron tried to reunite, but another hurdle entered the village. Kev Towsend arrived in the Dales as Robert’s prison husband.
Kev decided to win his husband back by faking a terminal illness. However, Robert was not into him. He schemed with Aaron to get rid of him. But Kev got angry and tried to kill Aaron with a sword. When Robert Sugden came to his rescue, Kev had already fled from the village. He left the couple in peace. However, the troubles aren’t over.

Robert and Aaron decide to bring Seb back, but Ross isn’t happy with their decision. Soon, someone smashes Aaron’s windscreen and sets fire outside the couple’s flat. He is most likely the mystery villain responsible for troubling the couple.
