Coronation Street viewers have finally seen Becky Swain taken away, but many fans still don’t think this is the end of her story. Becky’s goodbye has sparked a big reaction online, and even Amy Cudden’s farewell post hasn’t convinced everyone. A lot of ITV Corrie viewers are saying the same thing right now; they don’t believe Becky’s exit is permanent.

Becky Swain’s Exit Leaves Fans Unconvinced

Becky Swain recently left Weatherfield after trying and failing to win back Lisa Swain. She did everything she could to come between Lisa and Carla Connor, even though Lisa had clearly moved on.

Becky returned in September, and her comeback shocked everyone because her family thought she had died in action. Her return came at the worst time. Lisa and Carla had just got engaged, and Becky showed up around Betsy’s 18th birthday too.

Betsy is Lisa and Becky’s daughter, and Becky used the emotional moment to cause trouble. Becky pushed Lisa and Carla apart, and Carla later ended her relationship with Lisa in emotional scenes. She then took things even further and kidnapped Carla, who had been planning a trip to Spain. Becky kept Carla locked inside a flat, and Carla later got the location by accident when she visited Lisa’s boss, DI Costello, in hospital.

Kit eventually got the information he needed, and he started searching for Carla after she never arrived at her hotel in Spain. He later found her trapped in a shipping container because Becky had moved her again. Carla was stuck there and couldn’t get out.

Kit and Carla then went after Becky, who was travelling towards Hull with Lisa and Betsy. Becky planned to leave for Rotterdam, according to the Manchester Evening News. A serious multi-vehicle crash happened before she could escape, and Kit and Carla had to help rescue Lisa and Betsy at the scene.

Lisa still arrested Becky even though she was injured. Later episodes showed Becky got a 12-year prison sentence, and the court didn’t mention Lisa’s name during the case. DI Thompson told Lisa, “She got 12 years. And as far as I know, your name wasn’t mentioned, which I guess is the good news.”

He also warned Lisa that she would be put on restricted duties while an internal investigation continued. He said things could have ended much worse, and he told her she was “a good cop” who could put everything behind her.

“I Don’t Believe You”: Viewers Think Becky Will Return

Lisa told Betsy that Becky was out of their lives for good, but fans still didn’t believe it. Amy Cudden’s goodbye post also made viewers talk even more, because many think the door has been left open for Becky to return.

One viewer said Becky’s ending felt too quick and seemed like the show might come back to it later. They said Amy’s goodbye post was lovely, but they added, “I don’t believe you,” while also mentioning the Swarla storyline.

Another fan said the story felt rushed and that they didn’t think Becky was gone for good. Someone else said they had a “gut feeling” Becky would return, saying she is behind bars “for now” and her storyline feels unfinished. They also praised Amy Cudden for playing villainous Becky so well, even though they admitted they hoped Becky wouldn’t return.

More viewers shared the same feeling, and one person said it’s not the last time they’ll hear about “bent Becky.” Another fan praised Amy for joining the soap and causing drama for Swarla, saying she handled it well while still supporting the couple. That viewer also hinted that Becky’s exit doesn’t feel final, ending their post by saying, “Swarla forever.” For more such Coronation Street spoilers, keep following Soap Opera Daily!
