Coronation Street is about to expose Jodie Ramsey’s nastier side in the latest episode, and it’s not just Shona Platt who should be worried. After weeks of odd behaviour and half-finished explanations, Jodie spots the perfect chance to create tension inside the Platt house and she chooses Lily as her unexpected target.
Jodie’s “Heart-To-Heart” With Shona May Have Been A Warning Sign
Jodie has been showing some seriously concerning behaviour ever since she moved into the Platt house. And the mystery around her arrival in Weatherfield still hasn’t cleared. Even though she’s new on the Street, it’s obvious she’s carrying big secrets. Viewers already know Jodie is running away from something because she keeps getting bombarded with calls and texts.

But instead of focusing on escaping that threat, Jodie has started putting most of her energy into stirring trouble for her half-sister Shona. It’s almost like she’s building up to something bigger. Last night, Shona and Jodie had a tense heart-to-heart where Jodie accused Shona of abandoning her and leaving her alone with their controlling father.
After hearing about Jodie’s difficult upbringing, Shona admitted to David that she felt guilty about what happened. But Jodie stood nearby and listened in, looking visibly pleased as she overheard the confession.
Coronation Street: Jodie Targets Lily At The Worst Possible Time
In the latest episode, Shona prepares to visit baby Harper in the hospital. But she suddenly remembers she already promised Lily something as well. Shona clearly struggles to juggle her newborn responsibilities and her role as Lily’s stepmum.
And Jodie quickly steps in with an offer that seems helpful on the surface. Jodie tells Shona she can help Lily with her homework instead, and she starts working with the teenager on an art project.

But Lily doesn’t seem impressed or comforted. She admits she feels pushed aside and says Shona “never does stuff with [her] anymore.” Lily doesn’t stop there either, because she makes it clear David hasn’t been showing up for her the way she needs. “My dad doesn’t either. It’s just all about Harper,” she says, before adding, “I don’t mean to sound selfish.” Instead of reassuring Lily in a healthy way, Jodie sees the emotional crack forming and moves straight in to widen it.
Jodie jumps on the moment and tells Lily she understands what it feels like “when someone abandons you,” before cutting herself off mid-thought. That only makes Lily more curious, and the teenager pushes Jodie to explain what she means. Jodie then delivers a brutal little “truth” designed to sit in Lily’s mind and poison things between her and Shona. She tells Lily that Shona is her stepmum and probably loves her. But she will “always gonna have a stronger bond with the baby” because “it’s just biology.”

Before the moment can go any further, David and Shona come back in full of excitement and announce that Harper will be coming home soon. Shona pulls Jodie aside and thanks her for helping Lily. Next, she promises she’s going to make things up to her after leaving her behind as a child.
Jodie acts fine and tells Shona it’s “all forgotten.” But her earlier move with Lily makes it clear she isn’t looking for peace. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street spoilers.
