Emmerdale actor Joe Absolom opened up about playing Ray Walters. He said that his character had to face the consequences. Thus, he had to exit the soap. Joe Absolom played the role of Ray Walters. He came as a drug dealer interested in cannabis plants that Mack, Ross and Lewis were growing in a barn. Then the fans saw Ray manipulating Dylan into drug dealing. Later, he involved April and forced her to become a full-time drug dealer. However, her brother Leo consumed the drugs and was taken to the hospital.

Celia saw April in the hospital and slapped her. Soap fans learned that Celia was the boss and mother of Ray. Later, the villains kept manipulating the teenagers. Along with this plot, they were forcing vulnerable people on the farm. Celia was taking advantage of the homeless people. She sheltered them in exchange for labour. Bear Wolf was also one of their captives.

However, towards the end of the last year, Celia made plans to leave the village and start her operation in Wrexham. But Ray didn’t want to leave the town. This was because of his relationship with Laurel.

Later, the story took an unexpected turn as Ray stabbed Celia with the knife. But he didn’t know that Dylan had told the truth about his crimes to Laurel. Later, someone killed Ray, too. The police found his body in the back of a truck.

Elsewhere, as the actor Joe has filmed his last scenes, he has opened up about what it was like working on the soap. He opened up about what could have happened if his character hadn’t killed off. But it wasn’t possible as he had to get his comeuppance.

However, as an actor, he loved it. Joe added that it was a nice and positive place to work. Now he is looking for a new role.
