Jim first appeared on the cobbles in 1989 and was linked to the show until 2018. In his final scenes, he was leaving for Belfast with Hannah Gilmore. The pair were caught running a scam on Liz and took a large sum of money from her.
After this incident, everything ended for the family. Liz’s actor also once hoped that her character and Jim would reunite one day. However, reports now say that she isnt returning for this storyline. And Liz’s son Steve gets hit with this update directly. He had recently settled into a new relationship with Cassie Plummer after Tracy’s betrayal.
And now, the show will place him at the centre of this track. It’s because Jim’s name always carried weight in Steve’s life. However, ITV hasnt responded to questions about the storyline. They want to keep everything under wraps until the episodes air.
Harper’s Surgery Update And What It Means For David And Shona
Alongside this, the show will continue the track involving David and Shona. The couple are waiting for updates on baby Harper. A tumour was discovered during a routine scan. Also, she was shifted to the NICU after the delicate surgery. It’s because she could gain strength before the next procedure.
In upcoming scenes, the doctors inform the couple that Harper is now stable enough for the operation. Also, the operation is likely expected to take place in early March. The couple are finally a bit relieved as they were waiting nonstop for this confirmation. Elsewhere, Harper was named after Dr Vincent Harper. He is the visiting surgeon who arrived from Bristol when Shona’s doctor was stuck abroad.
