Nina Lucas told Carl that Debbie deserved everything that was happening to her for driving drunk. However, it was Carl who had moved Debbie into the driver’s seat while she was unconscious. Later, Ronnie Bailey broke down, admitting he feared that prison would worsen Debbie’s dementia. And after this, Carl thought of revealing the truth.
Later, Debbie realised that Carl was planning to hand himself in. She immediately stepped in to stop him. And Carl finally admitted that he had caused the crash. Moreover, he had placed her in the driver’s seat. Now, even Debbie tells him the truth she was holding on to. She explained that she is actually his mother. She got pregnant when she was a teenager, and he dad and Elaine raised Carl.
