Debbie Webster walked into a difficult day on Coronation Street, starting with a final talk with Ryan and an envelope from Carl that confirmed the distance between them. A last attempt to speak to Carl did not change anything. And court proceedings moved ahead without him. Keep scrolling to know more.

Debbie Receives A Heavy Sentence And Collapses Soon After

Before leaving for the court, Debbie told Ronnie that one task was to be done, which led to Roy’s Rolls. Debbie apologised to Carl and explained her side. She also asked for support during the hearing. However, Carl refused and said there would be no goodbyes, no visits and no future contact. Later, Debbie walked towards the courtroom with Carl’s words in mind.

Elsewhere, Kevin, Abi, Ronnie and Ryan all stayed with her during the sentence. They thought that Debbie’s vascular dementia diagnosis, along with her confession, would lessen the sentence. The judge handed down a sentence of two years and eight months to her. The family looked on as she was taken away.

Inside the cell, Debbie’s vision turned unclear. And she called out before collapsing. Elsewhere, Kevin argues with Carl for not attending court. However, their conversation did not complete as Ronnie received a call from the prison. They said Debbie had suffered another TIA. And after hearing this news, things changed for everyone.

Later, Debbie opened her eyes in a hospital bed. Then, she was about to wipe her tears. But she noticed handcuffs were fixed to the frame. Also, a guard is sitting nearby. Even after the medical event, the custody continued. And it was hard for her to absorb this realisation.

Next week, Adam Barlow speaks to Carl. He explains that the recent TIA could help with a request for sentence reduction. Also, the medical report might help the legal team. They could argue for a lighter term or an early release. It could depend on how the case is presented.

However, this issue completely depends on Carl. In recent days, his reactions have been sharp. Also, it is not guaranteed that Carl would cooperate. But Adam believes the TIA could work in Debbie’s favour. However, Carl will decide if he wants to help or refuse.
