Cassidy Warns About Dangerous Social Media Content
Natalie has expressed the increasing fear of young teens being exposed to the terrible stuff on social media as soon as they hit the age of thirteen. The actress was worried after her own teenager brought up a space that had harmful videos that came up without a warning.
Moreover, the experiment used to launch Big Tech’s Little Victims campaign created four fake teen accounts on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube. One’s reaction was totally shocked when the amount of severely disturbing content was found in just one week.
The actor spoke about everything from violent clips to extreme dieting and even suicidal ideas showing up on timelines. Moreover, a parent is helpless to keep track of everything, as it is impossible. The point of the campaign is that no child under the age of sixteen should be exposed to harmful algorithms.
According to the National Education Union, the age restriction should be increased. Even Cassidy allowed her daughter to use the app when she was thirteen. However, she regrets it.
