Lorraine Bags A New Film
Our favourite Lorraine Stanley will soon be seen in a new short thriller named Tor Lewa. The film officially wrapped filming in Bristol recently. Sharing the news on her Instagram, Lorraine wrote, “Proud to be a part of this film!!!”
The story is about a struggling alcoholic haunted by his past. And he is stalked by a mysterious dark wolf. And Stanley, who plays his mother will fight to save him as he reaches a breaking point.
It was filmed on location in Bristol, a city which is currently hosting several major productions. This includes the ITV drama Gone and Young Sherlock. The film is a production by Tor Lewa Film, as tagged in the post. Also, it has just finished filming. So, we can likely expect more news about its festival run in the coming months.
Lorraine Stanley’s Final Stint On EastEnders
Lorraine played Karen Taylor on the BBC soap. However, after seven years, her character was written out. It was part of a creative cast shake-up. Karen left for Spain in the wake of the staged kidnapping of Albie Watts. To protect her son, Keanu Taylor, she took sole responsibility for the plot. She also took the blame for the theft of Phil Mitchell’s ransom money.
Also, after this, Stanley returned for a brief stint the following year. Karen went back to Albert Square asking for explanations about Keanu’s mysterious disappearance. But she didn’t know that it was on Christmas Day that he was killed. She last appeared at Keanu’s funeral. His body was discovered under the floor of the cafe.
Also, before leaving, she comforted her son’s killer, Linda Carter. However, her daughter Bernie convinced her to return to her new life abroad for her own mental health.
