Ricky And Brax Return After Ten Years
The couple had left the Bay years ago with their baby. However, now they are living on a cattle station with a calmer lifestyle. Bonnie Sveen, who plays Ricky, shared, “It’s a much more isolated life than they had in the Bay. And they’re just in a great place in life. Ricky has softened over the years because of motherhood. And there’s a lot less drama in her life.”
However, everything will change for the couple soon. The two will be pulled back into the old pattern after Dean Thompson asks Brax for a favour. And it involves a fugitive. Sveen said, “She’s let her guard down and then hears that Dean Thompson is asking for a favour from Brax to house a fugitive.”
Despite the storyline, Sveen was emotional when she returned to the set. “Over the course of that decade away, you have no choice but to let things go, so I shut it out of my mind. Returning never seemed likely, she said.”
Adding further, “Then, actually stepping foot in the location of remote WA was next level. I channelled my emotions into the scenes because I was feeling it. Returning with Steve and old crew friends was special.”
Will Ricky And Brax Return Permanently To Home and Away?
UK fans will see these episodes next month. Also, many of them are hoping that the couple will stay longer. Even Sveen didn’t rule it out. However, she remains open-ended. She said, “There’s a possibility of it. But I don’t know if I can give an answer to that one.”
The actress also shared how much she enjoyed working with Peacocke again. She said, “If Home and Away lines up in the future…I felt really dynamic working with Steve again because he’s such a good person and a beautiful actor to work against. It would be amazing to revisit.”
