Shona McGarty Reunites With Former Co-Star Tony Discipline
Shona surprised her fans when she shared a photo with ex-co-star Tony. Tony played Tyler Moon while Shona reprised Whitney Dean on the BBC soap. The duo reunited during St Patrick’s Day celebration at a nightclub. Also, both actors were dressed according to the occasion.
McGarty shared the picture on an Instagram story. And with this, fans went back into a state of nostalgia. The two were together on the BBC soap around 13 years ago. Tony had exited Albert Square long before Shona. Also, Whitney and Tyler had a classic soap triangle. Initially, Whitney was involved with Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb, played by Ricky Norwood. Also, Tyler had a great friendship with him. Despite this, Tyler still pursued Whitney.
When Whitney realised she had stronger chemistry with the new Moon, she ended the relationship with Fatboy. Later, the relationship faced a pregnancy scare. At first, Tyler hesitated. However, he agreed to become a father. However, soon they learnt that pregnancy was a false alarm. Soon, the two also moved in together. But things worsened when Whitney kissed Joey Branning. Despite this Tyler tried to repair their bond with a proposal.
Later, Whitney’s childhood abuser, Tony King, died. And both struggled with the weight. That’s when Whitney sought comfort with Joey again. Soon the truth was out. Hence, both og them decided that their relationship had nothing left. Tyler soon left Walford to work on a cruise ship.

After exiting, McGarty focused on music and theatre projects. The performer was also seen in the reality series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Elsewhere, Tony did various film and television projects. This includes the gangster film The Drugs Game, which reunited the actor with Lapinskas. He also launched a mobile cocktail bar business.
Apart from this, Discipline also trained as a firefighter. Tony said, “I love it. Every day is different, and you feel you’re helping your community.
