King Charles & Prince William are the senior members of the world’s most famous family. So, when the news of King’s cancer came to light, everyone was scared about what might happen next.
Royal family fans know that along with Charles, William’s wife, Kate Middleton, is also undergoing cancer treatment. The whole ordeal of the King and Kate being unwell has somehow strengthened the bond between the father and the son. Keep reading to get more details!
King Charles Is Getting Closer To Prince William
The announcement of His Majesty being diagnosed with cancer was released in February this year by Buckingham Palace. As for the Princess of Wales, she announced in March that she’d been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing preventive chemotherapy. The type of cancer was not specified. In a recent update on Instagram, Catherine said her treatment is ongoing and would continue for a few more months.
While Charles has returned to his royal duties, Kate still hasn’t. But, we saw her at the Trooping the Colour, and this was her first reappearance since her cancer announcement. As King and Kate continue to fight the cancer battle, Prince William has been holding on to the family strings tightly, and this has apparently brought Charles and William closer.

A friend of the royals recently talked about how the father-son duo have grown closer over the last six months. While speaking to the Mail, he said, “They don’t talk about the past, and Charles feels lucky that the two of them can talk about ‘the job’.The illnesses have increased the bond between them, but there is also greater tolerance between the two men.” It seems like the royal family is more united than ever while facing a difficult time.
Speaking of the royal family, reports suggest that even though Charles and William’s relationship is getting better, William’s bond with Harry is becoming worse. While speaking about the brothers, a source said, “Whatever might happen in the future, the trust that was implicit in his relationship with Harry is gone for good.” He added that even if they reconcile for any reason, it will be nothing more than superficial.
We know that Harry and William’s relationship was not really good, but with William’s Father’s Day post, everyone understood that the royal rift was getting really bad. The Prince of Wales shared an old photo of himself and King Charles and captioned it, “Happy Father’s Day, Pa. W”. It was a picture from his childhood, and there was no sign of Harry; we cannot help but wonder if the royal rift will ever end or not.
