Taylor Swift had a little stage mishap during her Eras Tour stop in Dublin while performing “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” Taylor was singing the track from The Tortured Poets Department at Aviva Stadium. So, how did it all happen? She was on a multi-tiered platform that was supposed to slide back into the stage. But the tier Swift was on got stuck, as fans captured in clips posted online. Find out what happened next!
One of Swift’s backup dancers, Jan Ravnik, noticed the problem and came over to help her down. Moreover, the Grammy Award-winning singer handled it smoothly and continued her performance without missing a beat. In a close-up fan video, it looks like she is trying to hold back laughter as Ravnik assists her. Despite the hiccup, Swift’s three-and-a-half-hour show went on without a hitch. She would perform in Dublin for another night before heading to Amsterdam for the next leg of her tour.
Let us tell you that the Anti-Hero singer is rocking the European leg of her hugely successful Eras Tour. Last week, she made headlines when her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, made a surprise appearance during her London show. During “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” Kelce was dressed in a tuxedo and sparkly top hat. Furthermore, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback picked up Swift for an outfit change. Then, she powdered her face, danced, and flashed a big smile before leaving the stage.
Meanwhile, Billboard announced on Sunday that Taylor’s album TTPD remains the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. And get this: the pop icon has been at the top for the tenth consecutive week! Additionally, the Blank Space hitmaker has performed most of the 31-track album live at least once on The Eras Tour. The TTPD set includes tracks like “But Daddy I Love Him” and “Down Bad,” which transitions to “Fortnight.”
The set usually concludes with “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” In addition, Swift also debuts other tracks from the album in her acoustic section, featuring two surprise songs each night. This weekend’s first-time performances included “The Albatross” on Saturday and “Clara Bow” on Sunday. Keep an eye on Soap Opera Daily for more to stay in the loop for more Taylor Swift updates!
