Later, when the cafe owner asks Carla about the mystery person, she thinks he is imagining things. Is he? Viewers are convinced it’s the ghost of Roy’s wife, Hayley. The character was a part of the show for 16 years, starting in 1998. However, she met her tragic fate ten years back.
In her last scenes, she dies in Roy’s arms after choosing to end her life to avoid prolonged pain. Now, fans believe the beloved character could return as a ghost or a figment of Roy’s imagination.
