Travis Kelce is no stranger to the TV world. Although the NFL star player is known for his incredible playing techniques and (how can we forget) his relationship with Taylor Swift, Kelce has done the reality TV show before. Way before he dated Swift, Travis Kelce had been on a reality dating show, Catching Kelce. It was quite like The Bachelor.
But instead of handing roses to the girls, he handed footballs to his selected partners. Interesting, right? But it’s all done now, and Travis Kelce isn’t in the mood to star in such a reality dating show. However, the Chiefs quarterback player has also denied the offer to appear on the Netflix reality series Receiver.
His decision left many baffled as many of his squad will join the show. It will feature George Kittle, Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams, Deebo Samuel, and Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Receiver will dig deeper into the 2023 seasons of these NFL stars and how they made it to the finals.
But surprisingly, Travis Kelce won’t be a part of the show, disappointing the audience. However, Kelce revealed in the Bussin’ with Boys podcast that he is completely “over” with reality TV shows. He said that after his fellow quarterback Patrick Mahomes starred in the streaming giant’s 2023 series, Quarterback, Netflix approached Travis Kelce. However, he denied the offer.
He said, “I’d rather just play ball, man.” Kelce is done with reality TV shows and podcasts. He currently co-hosts the New Heights podcast with his older brother, Jason Kelce. He is now also rooting for his next podcast, Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity? on Amazon Prime Video. While Travis Kelce has plenty of projects, the NFL star player isn’t done with the TV shows.
Despite saying a big “no” to reality TV series, Travis Kelce said he enjoyed his time in Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie. On May 14, Travis Kelce told his listeners on New Heights, “It’s been so much fun.” He added that Ryan Murphy is an unbelievable director, producer, writer, and all of the above, man.
Kelce shared that Ryan couldn’t do anything, and he enjoyed playing a part in Ryan’s series. Travis Kelce also shared that Ryan Murphy coached him a lot, which helped him get to his role perfectly. He also shared that everybody was helpful and made him feel comfortable.
