Jessie Wallace’s Moniker Name Revealed!
The 52-year-old Jessie took to Instagram and reposted a story last year from a friend, unveiling the moniker she used to go by. She beamed as she sat amongst her friends in a photo that was printed in the Guardian in 1985.
Wallace looked very different from her current self as she appeared in the picture with a short blonde mullet-style crop hairdo. However, that wasn’t the only change; what was more surprising was the names given in the caption under the photo.

She was labelled as ‘Karen Wallis’ in the 1985 newspaper, a name she’s long left in the past as the Kat Slater actress goes by her stage name now, Jessie Wallace. The caption on the picture said, ‘very random day being in The Guardian newspaper’, with Jessie adding that it was a ‘trippy day’, with a laughing emoticon. The popular actress has been on and off on the BBC1 soap since 2000; fans have known her by her stage name ever since.
Jessie is an amazing actress and she has received numerous awards for her extraordinary performance. The star shared her collection of accolades on social media and captioned, ‘Just having a spring clean and polishing the silver! Me? Showing off? Do me a favour!’
Her EastEnders co-stars rushed to the comments section and filled it with love and admiration. Sonia Fowler actress Natalie Cassidy wrote, ‘You should show off because you are AMAZING.’
