Real Reason Behind George’s B&W Picture Revealed
The Prince and Princess of Wales took to X and shared a stylish black-and-white picture of their eldest son, Prince George. The young Prince looks smart and sophisticated in a dapper suit paired with a friendship bracelet.
He can be seen on the floor while shooting a relaxed and confident smile at the camera. Royal watchers have noted that this is a more mature photo of the Prince is in B&W rather than the usual playful picture in colour.
The main reason behind this chosen medium is favoured by mother Kate Middleton. The future queen is trained in photography at Kensington and Chelsea Art College and prefers such pictures for its stark contrast to colour images.
The royal photographer, Ian Pelham-Turner, while discussing this with Express.co.uk, said that Kate is following in the footsteps of other photographers. He added that she likes shooting her family pictures in b&w to produce nostalgic and symbolic imagery, keeping the Royal family in the public eye.
Ian continued, “She obviously loves taking photographs – it’s one of her biggest hobbies. She is a good photographer. She’s created some very interesting images in the past. The reality is she likes creating imagery that is – with black and white, it’s a lot starker. It’s a much more focused image.” The royal photographer also reflected on how this picture might be a nod to nostalgia, resembling images of the former queen.
