Morrow’s Surprising Take on ‘Shick’ Reunion
The Young and the Restless star got in a candid chat on Michael Fairman TV. Morrow shed light on his perspective about Nick and Sharon’s potential future together. He didn’t mince words while discussing the complexities of their relationship. “I don’t see them just being together forever, always happy and perfect. I just don’t.”
Moreover, Joshua explained that the couple has problems while acknowledging how they have always been so close. “They’re each other’s first love and true love. They met when they were kids, so they’ve shared all these life experiences.” However, he thinks the things they did to each other will likely affect their future.
Morrow recognizes the deep, although troubled, connection between the two characters. Yet, the Y&R star isn’t entirely against Sharon and Nick reuniting. If the show tells Joshua that his character will end up with Sharon till the end of his career, he’ll comply. But I don’t know if that’s viable,” he pondered. The ongoing issues in ‘Shick’s’ dynamic came to the spotlight in the July 19 episode.
In the episode, Sharon walks into Society and sees Nick having dinner with Phyllis. Despite their assurances that it was purely about co-parenting, the scene hinted at the persistent tension. Furthermore, Morrow touched upon the Nick-Phyllis-Sharon triangle. The ‘Shick’ people will find it unpalatable but Morrow thinks Phyllis “has carved out a huge piece of Nick’s heart.”
The lady has a hold of Nick, and it will always be like that. Joshua added, “When he’s with one of them, he still always has a place for the other. And whoever thinks the actor has a lot of say in it, they’re wrong, as he confessed. Despite the rocky path, Morrow offered a glimmer of hope for “Shick” fans. “It’s a soap opera. Nick, of course, will end up with Sharon again at some point.
He doesn’t know the timing for now, but he says it’s definitely coming. “How long that lasts, I don’t know,” Joshua teased.
