Actress Melanie Hill Rejects Corrie Return
Melanie Hill, who plays Siobhan McKenzie on Casualty, seems to have taken a jab at Corrie after hinting at a return to the soap. Speaking on This Morning with Rochelle Humes and Dermot O’Leary, the actress compared the two shows and praised Casualty’s non-stop action in every episode.
She mentioned that Casualty stands out from soaps because it deals with people experiencing the worst days of their lives. She explained, “You’ve got all of our lives on the show, but then you’ve got these complete tragedies unfolding.” The soap star was a part of Cobbles from 2015 to 2022 in the role of Cathy Matthews.
She was very well known for her romances with Roy and Brian Packham. She also became co-owner of The Kabin. When she left the show, she ended things with Brian. Meanwhile, the cafe owner was wrongly imprisoned for Lauren Bolton’s murder. But guess what? After all the drama, it turns out Lauren is still alive.
Recently, the Corrie former posted a photo with David Neilson (Roy) on her Instagram handle from their vacation in Scarborough. She even tagged the show’s account. This got fans excited about the possibility of her returning to the soap.
However, The Sun has confirmed that she isn’t coming back—it was merely a fun social catch-up. Well, this was a total disappointment for fans. For more updates on Coronation Street, keep checking Soap Opera Daily! Were you also waiting for her big return?
