Bernie Taylor Got Played By Dean Wicks, What Will Happen Now?
EastEnders spoilers reveal that a brutal twist involving Dean Wicks is right on schedule for this week. In a shocking twist, it was revealed that Bernie had joined forces with the rapist in order to get Linda Carter to drop her statement against him.
After stabbing Keanu Taylor to death last Christmas, Linda framed Dean for the crime with the help of The Six. Regular viewers also know that Stacey hid the murder weapon in his apartment while Linda reported Dean to the police, insisting that she saw him carrying Keanu’s body into the cafe.
However, now that the pre-court trial is approaching, the pressure on Linda has been getting to her. Moreover, Dean has been doing everything in his power to prevent the pub landlady from taking the stand.
He made several moves, but the one that has affected Linda more than anything are the poison pen letters that Bernie was sending her. Keanu’s sister thinks that Sharon killed her brother and is trying to guilt Linda into confessing the same.
After receiving the numerous texts and emails, Linda’s guilt spiked and he started drinking again. This led to a complete disaster when the prosecutor refused to let her take the stand because she was drunk. For obvious reasons, Dean was thrilled by this development knowing that without Linda’s statement, the case will fall apart.

However, Bernie did all this so that she could get a confession from Linda, but that hasn’t happened yet. When she discusses this with Dean, he selfishly highlights that this isn’t his problem and makes it clear that he was using her for his own benefit. Even though Bernie has finally seen the cat coming out of the bag, isn’t it too late? These drastic letters from her end have left Linda in a life-threatening situation. What will happen now? Only time will tell.
But it looks like Bernie has been played, and we still cannot understand how she can trust a rapist. Several Reddit users have pointed out the same and have been discussing it. Some of them blamed Bernie for being so gullible and dumb for listening to a rapist. The social media users also how Dean conned her and hope that she will now learn a lesson of not being involved with criminals.
