Life has thrown a new curveball for General Hospital star Cameron Mathison. The actor and his wife of 22 years, Vanessa Mathison, announced their separation. The duo shared the news of their split on July 31, 2024, on Instagram together by themselves to avoid any speculation about their personal life.
Unfortunately, public speculation is something that stars cannot avoid no matter how many precautions they take. Thus, the actor who is famous for playing Drew Cain on General Hospital, fell prey to dating rumors when he was snapped with Aubree Knight. The pictures were first shared online by People Magazine, but is Cameron really dating Aubree?

On August 16, 2024, the actor posted on his social media for the first time after announcing his split. He posted a picture of himself, dressed in a crisp white shirt, and khaki pants. In the caption he wrote, “With the right mindset and guidance… pain, grief, confusion, fear, and disbelief… can all be our best teachers.”
Furthermore, Cameron added “I don’t know what this next chapter holds for me, but I’m approaching it with gratitude, acceptance, and the determination to be positive.” While also adding that he’d like to work “to benefit others every chance I get.” An enthusiastic fan commented under his post that “There’s a new girlfriend.” However, Cameron clarified with a stern “No there is not 🙏”
The actor’s comment is enough to shut down any rumors about him dating Aubree Knight, or anyone else for that matter. Meanwhile, many other fans interpreted Cameron’s post exactly the way the actor meant it to be. Positive, enthusiastic, and encouraging. We hope that whatever his next chapter holds, it comes with happiness and light.
