Nicola Thorp, who played Nicola Rubinstein from 2017 to 2019, has announced that she is married to her actor partner, Nikesh Patel. The couple, who got engaged in January 2023, tied the knot in Blackpool over the weekend. On Instagram, she posted a stunning highlight reel from their special day.
The video showed guests dancing, drummers parading down the pier, and Thorp walking toward her new husband. She shared in a post that they had gotten married at the exact location where race riots had erupted just three weeks prior. The soap star wrote, “Two hearts, two families, two cultures: united, celebrated and loved.”
She added, “Love wins … Thank you to all our friends and family for making it so magical.” Fellow Corrie star Sair Khan (Alya Nazir) expressed, “WE HAD THE BEST TIME! Love you both so much.” Also, Doctor Who star Sacha Dhawan enthusiastically praised the event, saying it was a remarkable day.
The newly married couple joyfully welcomed their baby girl in January this year. Back in Weatherfield, the ITV star’s character Nicola was revealed on the soap as the long-lost daughter of serial killer Pat Phelan.
