The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, announced in a recent interview that she has started a new chapter in her life, and this is an era of investments for her. She revealed that there has been a global interest in her style ever since her engagement to Prince Harry, back in 2017. She now wants to utilize her interest in fashion and style to her advantage.
Meghan has recently invested in a female-founded brand called Cesta Collective, which sources sustainable handbags. However, her investments are not limited to just this one accessory brand. The Duchess has also announced her forthcoming lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
“Investing in them has helped me line up for this chapter where I’m investing in myself,” Meghan Markle told the media. According to The New York Times, the Duchess joked of her investment initiative as “Dolphin Tank”, referring to the mega-hit business pitch show Shark Tank. However, he called her investments, “friendly waters”, setting herself apart from other cutthroat investors.
In March 2024, Meghan had first announced her brand American Riviera Orchard. The brand will venture into tableware, home décor, cosmetics, cookbooks, jarred food products, yoga gear, and pet accessories, among other things. She divulged that she also has some other five to ten brands in her portfolio, and they are all complimentary to her own upcoming venture.

Interestingly, before marrying Prince Harry, Meghan used to run a lifestyle blog called The Tig, which she has often referred to as her “passion project”. So her interest in lifestyle and fashion runs deep and dates far back. A friend of her’s told the media that her upcoming venture reflects everything that defines her and interests her.
