Billy’s Massive Guilt & Family Feud
The aftermath of Paul Foreman’s death unfolds- and it’s heartbreaking. Next week, Paul’s husband, Billy Mayhew, will be in total panic when Living Aids come to collect Paul’s wheelchair and synthesiser. He still needs more time to download Paul’s precious voice messages.
As the week continues, Todd Grimshaw tells Billy that Paul’s body is now at the undertakers if he wants to see him. Poor Billy is heartbroken and guilty as he never got the chance to say goodbye before Paul passed away. When Paul was taken to the hospital in critical condition, Billy was out looking for his phone.
Additionally, Paul’s funeral plans have also created some tension between Billy and Paul’s mum, Bernie Winter as they both have different ideas. Bernie insists Paul wasn’t religious, but Billy thinks otherwise. Meanwhile, Summer Spellman is really worried and urges Billy to find common ground with Bernie.
As the week continues, Summer shows up at No.5 with Paul’s clothes in a bin bag. When Gemma pulls out Paul’s favourite t-shirt, Summer gets overwhelmed. Additionally, Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy, shares how his character struggles with guilt.
The soap star said, “He’s been cheated out of those final goodbyes and those final moments.” He also explained that Billy experiences guilt, as the situation resulted from his own mistake. According to him, Billy is angry with himself yet still grateful for what he believes were his final conversations with Paul.
