Katie Jarvis has unveiled a major secret about one of Square’s most legendary characters. The actress, who joined EastEnders in 2018 as the cousin of Kat Slater, was involved in some of the intriguing storylines, from shocking affairs to alcohol addiction. However, Hayley soon bid adieu to Walford in 2019, and the actress opened up about her time on the soap during an interview.
The soap star recently appeared on The Criminal Connection podcast and reflected upon various drama filled storylines. Then Katie and host Terry Stone went to discuss legendary June. And it turned out June was the ‘only one’ allowed to break a rule on set, who used to play the role of Dot Cotton. While recalling a conversation with June, Terry recounted how he had a discussion with her where she was just smoking and smoking.

To this Jarvis chimed in and added that she was the only that was allowed to do so. Terry and Katie also appreciated the soap legend for her relentless hard work and unbeatable memory that she never forgot any lines. Long time viewers know that June Brown played Dot for over three decades and made her debut on the BBC soap in 1983.
