Prince Harry’s Application Remains Private, New Ruling Clears Out Confusion

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shifted to the United States of America from the UK, all of their moves have been under major scrutiny. All the fans and the common public have been keeping an eye out on what they are doing and questioning the authorities about the same. 

One thing that had caught many peoples’ attention was how Prince Harry was allowed a visa in America even after he had very publicly spoken about his experience with drugs in his auto-biography- Spare. As soon as this caught everyone’s attention, the Conservative think tank Heritage Foundation argued and filed a petition regarding Duke’s visa. 

This foundation pointed out that there has been widespread and continuous coverage of Prince Harry’s drug use and questioned if the Government had “properly vetted” the Prince and the procedure followed to get him to the US was correct. 

For those who might not be aware, usually, people with a drug use history are not allowed entry in the US as per the law. In his memoir, Harry had talked about how he had used not only cocaine but also Marijuana and magic mushrooms and how all of that affected him. 

While many remain curious to know how Prince Harry was allowed a residency in the US, a judge has now ruled that Harry’s application would remain private. Carl Nichols in a ruling on monday said that “the public does not have a strong interest in disclosure of the duke’s immigration records. Like any foreign national, the duke has a legitimate privacy interest in his immigration status.

So, it looks like all of these records will always be private but that does not put questions about Duke’s plan in long silence. The Duke and his wife Meghan Markle had quit their senior royal duties back in January 2020 and started a new life in the US.
