We recently reported the news that Gail Platt is all set to exit Coronation Street. However, her exit plans have swung the doors open for the return of an iconic character. John Thomson is making a striking return as Jesse Chadwick ahead of Gail’s exit. Interestingly, his return arc is said to be tied to Bethany’s ongoing storyline.
In recent episodes, Bethany’s whole life came crashing down when her decision to get a liposuction backfired royally. In the aftermath, the young woman is left in a condition where she will be living with a permanent stoma. The Platt family is currently struggling to come up with enough funds to pay her bills at the Turkish hospital.
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that in the upcoming episodes, Jesse Chadwick arrives in Weatherfield to lend his support to the family in these testing times. It is revealed that he has been in touch with Gail Platt all along and is in the know about everything. John Thomson first debuted as Jesse back in 2008 and went on to become a regular cast member in 2009.
Ever since then he has been an absolute fan favorite and has been part of many interesting storylines. So, it will be thrilling to see what he brings to the screen this time. Will he help the Platt family in securing the funds that they require to pay off Bethany’s medical bills? Moreover what part will he play in Gail Platt’s exit?
