Emmerdale: Is [THIS] The Key To Tom’s Downfall?

Emmerdale truly outdid itself with the edge of the seat drama that transpired between Tom King and Belle Dingle in the recent episodes. It was absolutely thrilling to see the cat and mouse change between the two characters. However, the highlight was most definitely Belle finding the courage to stand up for herself and attack Tom when it was really needed.

Unfortunately, her newfound has landed her in a deep mess. When Belle found herself in grave danger with Tom King, she plunged an axe in his back in a fit of rage, and to keep herself safe from him. For a little while there it felt like the abuser had indeed fallen to his death on Emmerdale. But that wasn’t the case. Tom managed to get away and bumped into Dr. Liam Cavanagh, who took him to the hospital.

Now, Tom King’s life is hanging in the balance, and Belle’s with him. As she said in the recent episode, if Tom dies, she will have to live with the horrible guilt of having taken another life. Meanwhile, if he survives, he will make sure she goes to jail for attempted murder. But is that really the case? We know Belle only acted in self-defense, that too after months of getting abused by her husband, both physically and psychologically.

Even if Tom survives and has Belle arrested, she still has a case against him. Her story against Tom and his abuse is solid. There is no way she goes down for attacking Tom. Moreover, we have a feeling that Emmerdale is keeping a major player hidden, and will use it towards the end to take Tom down for good.

If you haven’t guessed who it is, we are talking about Belle’s support worker Rachel! It has been a while since we last saw her. But the spoilers recall that she was deeply suspicious of Tom, and knew that the man couldn’t be trusted. Perhaps she is holding onto some proof against him that we don’t know of yet!
