It was honestly a shocker that Joel Deering has actually died on Coronation Street. The lawyer who had his eyes and heart set on marrying Dee-Dee was actually a heinous criminal. It was recently revealed that he was the one responsible for Lauren Bolton’s disappearance. In fact, not only had he groomed and sexually abused Lauren, he had also done so with other young girls.
Thus, when Dee-Dee found out his reality, she broke off their relationship. Moreover, she decided to help DS Lisa Swain in nailing him for all the crimes. However, before Joel Deering could be brought to justice, he ended up falling to his death. Initially, when Swain heard the audio message he left Dee-Dee, she concluded that it was a suicide note.
However, when his body was found, and an autopsy was conducted, it was found that Joel was already dead before falling in the water. Moreover, the cause of death was concluded to be an injury that could have been sustained from a crowbar blow. This means that it wasn’t a suicide but murder!
But who could have killed Joel Deering on Coronation Street? He sure did have a lot of enemies. The latest spoilers reveal that there are at least three prime suspects in the crime. The first two are quite obvious – Dee-Dee and Lauren Bolton. The two women who Joel hurt deeply by his manipulation and lies.
However, in the upcoming episodes, some more faces will come to the surface as possible killers. The first of them will be – Ronnie (Vinta Morgan), Dee-Dee’s uncle. The second will be, Mason Radcliffe, the young troublemaker who is currently trying to set his life straight. The spoilers tease that Corrie will show a series of flashbacks that will reveal clues about who actually committed the murder.
