This comes after the BBC soap’s director Christopher McGill promised some ‘monstrous’ storylines in a social media post showcasing the show’s behind-the-scenes.
The talented McGill took to Twitter and wrote, “Week Two on our monstrous New Year episodes. A room packed (PACKED) with EastEnd icons.” The details of these iconic narratives are being kept tightly under the wraps, but we are sure that it will be huge. Along with Christmas and New Year, the longest-running BBC programme is approaching its 40th anniversary at the beginning of next year, so it will be explosive!
In the past few days, we have seen pictures of a funeral marking Nancy and Lee Carter’s return. The whole Carter clan seems to be mourning someone in the images, but who is in the coffin still remains a mystery. George Knight and Elaine Peacock are also set to tie the knot around the same time, but with Cindy around, drama will definitely come up.
