Viewers are currently experiencing a roller-coaster ride on Coronation Street with several high-voltage storylines in action. However, the most jaw-dropping among them is the mystery surrounding Joel Deering. The ITV baddie fell to his death in the recent episodes, and his body was discovered floating in the water.
When the storyline first rolled out, many fans speculated that the villain has not really died, but is just faking his death in order to evade the law. However, that’s not the case. After the discovery of his body, it is clear as day that Joel Deering is indeed dead. While Joel’s death has come as a relief to many, actor Callum Lil’s exit has had the opposite effect.
Coronation Street fans and cast members are extremely fond of the fine actor and have already started to miss him. In recent times, Callum Lil has shared a lot of screen time with actress Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee, thus, it is understandable that she is feeling the impact the most.
The Corrie star took to her Instagram account to share an emotional goodbye to Callum. “RIP Joel Deering. You were flipping awful but you came in the form of one of my best mates and for that, I’m very grateful. A year of shenanigans, endless brews, rehearsing only to get distracted, and you carrying all my stuff,” Channique penned.
The actress also reflected on how they experienced all sorts of emotions together as a team while working on the sets. Callum too agreed with Channique’s sentiments and thanked her in the comments of her post. “So many good memories 💜 I’m gonna miss you so much… I’ll even miss having to carry your things everywhere,” he wrote.

Even though Joel’s journey is over on Corrie, Dee-Dee is still a part of the murder investigation. The spoilers reveal that in the upcoming episodes, Kit Green begins to look at Dee-Dee as a suspect in the case. Could it be possible that she killed her former lover?
