If The Bold and the Beautiful has taught us anything, it’s to never take things at face value. It is indeed the case with the shady new Forrester, Electra (Laneya Grace). The character is grabbing eyeballs with her charm and curiosity, but there’s something familiar here. First off, we shouldn’t fall for that goddamn “Innocence.” Next, she may be harboring secrets which are enough to blow the Forrester mansion’s fancy doors! Luna 2.0?
Another Luna in the Making?
The Bold and the Beautiful fans should be wary of Electra’s backstory because it’s a throwback! We recently learned that the poor girl didn’t have a stable childhood, bouncing from one place to another. Her parents were busy chasing their dreams. But folks, do you get déjà vu? Luna Nozawa, anyone? Let’s backtrack a bit to remind you about Luna’s past.
She too had that nomadic upbringing, changing homes with her mom. Additionally, the psychotic woman who abducted Steffy looked up to her family for guidance. In Electra’s case, she idolizes her Aunt Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) like anything. Their bond is pretty similar to Luna and her cousin Finn’s.
Moreover, Electra’s awestruck by the swanky Forrester mansion and describes it as “like a whole other world.” Mind you, Luna started off with that same sweet, innocent aura before things went downhill. Now, Electra’s stepping in with those similar traits and is romancing Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) for some cutesy scenes. Remember the vibe between Luna and RJ Forrester?
Is the CBS soap repeating history or setting us up for some deeper twists with Electra? Recently, Laneya hinted at a juicy backstory for Electra. “She’s maybe got a little bit of a path that we might find out about later,” she teased. It’s enough to keep us guessing! Just because Electra’s not kidnapping anytime soon doesn’t mean she’s all sugar and sunshine.
