King Charles reportedly has the desire to mend his relationship with his estranged son Prince Harry, but the reconciliation looks really complicated, reported Fox News. The Prince’s lawsuit comes from a 2020 decision to reduce his police protection while in the UK. This has raised concerns among constitutional experts – they worry that Harry might share private conversations like he did in his memoir, this could lead to misunderstandings and put King at legal risk.
While speaking to The Telegraph, a senior constitutional advisor to the Royals said, “Here you have the infelicitous situation where the King’s son is suing the King’s ministers in the King’s courts. That is pulling the King in three directions.” He also highlighted if Harry were to reveal a conversation with his father about the case – whether accurately or not – it could put the King in ‘serious legal jeopardy.’

This comes after a serious trial that took place in 2002 of former butler Paul Burrell fell apart when Queen Elizabeth II suddenly recollected key details, leading to claims that the royals had undue influence over the legal proceedings. Despite these concerns, some sources relay that King Charles is still open to reconciling with his son, Harry, and his wife, Meghan. However, he needs to beware especially now the palace staff also feels misrepresented.
The Sunday Telegraph reports that staff and officials insist they did everything possible to assist the Duchess, but Meghan declined to cooperate. This isn’t the first time Harry’s security has been discussed.
