As for his role on EastEnders, he played the role of Stan in 2014, who was Mick’s grandfather and passed away in 2015 after battling with prostate cancer. This storyline helped breakdown one of the biggest taboos around men’s health in the UK. The BBC One soap posted a tribute to West on their social media where Mick actor Danny Dyer wrote, ‘Can’t believe it’ alongside some broken heart emojis.’
Along with Danny, Linda Carter actress Kellie Bright also wrote a heartfelt message on the post, “Just to say that working alongside the legendary Timothy West was an absolute highlight of my career.
