Coronation Street Spoilers recall that when Cassie Plummer bagged a job as Ken Barlow’s caregiver, she was thrilled. Even more so when she learned that the older gentleman had scored a huge amount of money in premium bonds. However, soon after that things started to go south when Steve McDonald accused her of being a gold digger. An accusation that she vehemently denied.
However, we can’t ignore the fact that she did decide to stay on as Ken Barlow’s carer only after overhearing about the man’s financial fortune. Later, the two took an overseas trip. Unfortunately, it seems her employment is now in peril. Coronation Street spoilers reveal that after returning from the overseas trip, Ken had a look at his finances and informed the Barlow family that he is going to have to let Cassie go.
The news of being sacked will certainly hit her hard when Ken informs her that he no longer needs her services as his carer. However, the spoilers indicate that her unemployed status won’t last long as Ken will fall ill again. Since he will require her services again, Ken will offer Cassie an additional one pound per hour to take her job back. Meanwhile, Tracy Barlow won’t be too happy about Cassie re-entering Ken’s life as his carer.
In the upcoming episodes, Tracy rips into Cassie and brutally tells her to sling her hook and stop sponging off Ken. He also insists that she will take care of him and that the family does not require Cassie in the fold. However, things take a steep turn when Ken suffers a nosebleed and begins to feel really ill. Tracy feels forced to take him to the hospital, as his condition continues to decline.
Will these scary turn of events make Tracy and the rest of the family realize that they do need Cassie’s help in caring for Ken?
