Masked burglars have raided Windsor Castle, breaking through a security gate while the Prince of Wales, along with his family, slept at home in Adelaide Cottage nearby. As per reports, two men broke into the Shaw Farm gate using a stolen truck, then stole agricultural machinery before leaving on the back of the estate’s quad bike. Fortunately, King Charles and Queen Camilla were not at the residence at the time of the attack.
But Prince William and Kate, with their three kids, were in their home – Adelaide Cottage. A source painted a picture of the break-in while speaking to The Sun and said, “They must have been watching Windsor Castle for a while.” William’s residence is just five minutes away from the main Castle, and the family is regularly spotted using the wrecked gate, which is the nearest exit to their home.

Even though the King and Queen were not at Windsor Castle, this incident has raised serious concerns about the estate’s security. Earlier, armed police were seen exiting from the Castle’s two main public entrances. However, it’s believed that armed officers continue to patrol the estate. Our sources also tell us the royal residence is equipped with alarms, but the break-in wasn’t detected until the thieves crashed through the security barrier.
‘No arrests have been made at this stage, and an investigation is ongoing,’ according to the Tatler. This isn’t the first time an intrusion took place in Windsor Castle; one took place in 2021 when an armed intruder broke in and claimed to kill the Queen.
