ABC’s daytime drama General Hospital is all set to welcome a new face. Actor Jen Austin Astrup has debuted on the show as Kai, who has been brought in to play Trina Robinson’s love interest. The speculations hint that Trina and Kai will fall in love with each other but as their relationship starts to become serious, Trina’s ex-boyfriend, Spencer will make a return. It will be revealed that he is not dead so, the new couple will have a past lover to deal with.

Jen Wishes For Love Like ‘Sprina’ From Fans!

Well amid the speculations, Jen has expressed his desire for his character of Kai in a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest. The Chicago-born actor has shared insights on his role during the interview and confirmed that Kai will indeed romance with Trina on the show. He also mentioned that the bar is high as fans have loved the pair of Spencer and Trina, aka ‘Sprina’. But he further added that kai and Trina’s dynamics are totally different, and it’ll be interesting to watch them together.

He also wished for the same amount of love for Kai and Trina’s pair from fans. He said, ” I want fans to keep their hearts open for our pair”. The actor has made his first appearance on the show on November 18 episode. Kai will go to the Port Charles University same as Trina where the duo will meet and will eventually bond.
