The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are taking a different approach to protecting their struggling image. The duo is in the middle of a professional separation, with recent reports suggesting their work relationship is ‘in a very bad state.’ In a desperate attempt to get their public image back on track, the estranged royal couple has opted for an ‘experimental’ PR path in which they appear in events solo.
While speaking to GB News, Richard Fitzwilliams said, “This is obviously a new tactic. As in every brand, the Sussexes want to promote their brand as best as they can; they have tried something that has worked with the so-called royal tours of Nigeria and Colombia. Then we have got the solo engagements, so they are experimenting.” He also added that Prince Harry and Meghan need to keep their profile better as they can’t attack the royal family right now, and thus, they have picked up new strategies.
