Long-Lost Favorites Return To Salem
It is going to be an emotionally heavy week on Days. The spoilers reveal that Doug’s funeral takes place in the upcoming episodes, and many characters from the past return to pay their respects. Faces that we haven’t seen in a long while will grace the screens, so this is not a week to skip! Days of Our Lives Spoilers reveal that Liz Chandler (Gloria Loring), Marie Horton (Maree Cheatham), and Steve Olson (Stephen Schnetzer) arrive in Salem and reconnect with other characters.
Julie finds comfort in her brother’s presence as Steve steps up tp support her. Meanwhile, Liz pays Marlena a visit and they catch up on lost time. Later in the week, Liz also crosses paths with Marie, and they may exchange some tense energy. Maggie too reconnects with Marie at some point, so watch out for those dynamics!
A Bitter-Sweet Moment Of Celebration and Sombreness
Doug’s funeral episode coincides with Days’ 15000th episode next week, so it is going to be a bittersweet moment, as the celebration of the terrific feat is mixed with the sombreness of Doug’s final goodbye. Although Julie will remain adamant that everyone should focus on celebrating Doug’s life instead of mourning.
Amid the emotional roller coaster, Ciara Weston will manage to open the Horton time capsule and the contents of it will surprise everyone. We wonder what it contains. Guess, we’ll have to tune into the episodes to find out! Belle Black will also arrive in Salem for the funeral, so we’ll see if she and Shawn Brady have any further interactions.
Hope Breaks Down, Julie Sees Doug!
Later in the week, Hope will break down as she lays flowers on Doug’s grave. Over the years the father-daughter duo had formed a beautiful bond that many people admire. Thus, it surely is a huge loss for Hope Brady. Next, Julie will get a shocker at the cemetery when she sees Doug all of a sudden. Now, since Doug’s portrayer Bill Hayes has also passed over, we may not see him in the physical sense.
Rather, it could be a scene where we hear his voice from some old episode, while a beam of bright light shines down the sky.
