A new documentary about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could damage the couple’s popularity. The estranged royal duo are once again in the spotlight of a new film, Harry—The Lost Prince. It was released on 3rd December and is produced by award-winning filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald. The new movie also promises to expose fresh revelations about the couple’s lives in the States after stepping from the royal fold in 2020.
According to The Mirror, this film includes a veteran soldier who knew the Prince and accuses him of ‘whinging’ about his family. Even though the show might gain attention in America, this could be a major blow for the couple—as per a royal expert. Royal fans know Prince Harry and Meghan are facing popularity issues in the US and the UK, so they might not love the negative spotlight.
Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe spoke to the outlet and said, “I think any documentary that continues the criticism of Harry and Meghan’s modus operandi is going to be damaging.” As per a research by Statista, Harry is becoming less popular among the British public after leaving the royal family. In 2019, the Duke was liked by 71 percent of people, but the latest data from last August showed that now, only 30 percent hold a favourable opinion of him.
