While we can very well hear the Christmas bells, Emmerdale spoilers suggest it’s only the love bells for Aaron and John this year. The duo we have been rooting for so long has come together, and we can’t keep calm. It’s a major turning point in their relationship, but can they get the happy ending they deserve?
Aaron and John Comes Closer
When John joined the village back in the summer, the pair started hooking up. Even though their relationship has always appeared kind of casual – we always knew that there was more to this chemistry – didn’t we? But we initially saw Adam struggling a bit to break through John’s ever-so-stern nature.
However, next week, John surprises Aaron with the idea of a camping trip. We are as surprised as Aaron is with this! Though the idea of a campaign on a chilly December feels weird to Aaron, he agrees and wants to impress John.
Their “WE” Time
Once they settle down on the serene camping grounds, John starts opening up his pent-up emotions to Aaron. Once they are comfortable and have a heart-to-heart, they declare their love for each other – the moment we have all been waiting for.
Now that Christmas is only a few weeks away, we can hope for this couple to bring us more romantic scenes. But there’s one question I have in mind – has Aaron completely moved on from his past – or will it again cast a shadow on his present?
Words from Oliver Farnworth
Oliver Farnworth was cast as John earlier this year following his previous soap stint as Andy Carver on Coronation Street between 2014 and 2017. Speaking earlier this year about John’s past, Oliver told us: “I think he’s enigmatic, really. There’s a lot to him, and there was a lot of stuff in the initial character breakdown that was hinted at but wasn’t necessarily revealed.
Obviously, they don’t like to give too much away too quickly. I’m still finding stuff out about him. He is very much a lone wolf. I think over the years, he’s really put walls up and not let anyone in. That’s the method of self-preservation. He doesn’t like people getting close to him, and he’s very self-sufficient… doesn’t really go near emotions… doesn’t like to rely on people. I think he’s been hurt in the past, and that won’t happen again.”
Well, Oliver’s words definitely cast a different light on the story. We are happy for the pair but are worried if they can stick around. I guess we just need to wait and see how the upcoming Emmerdale spoilers unfold. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily to never miss out on a spoiler. Are you rooting for Aaron and John?
