Emmerdale Spoilers confirm that life has been really difficult for Eric Pollard and Brenda Walker in recent times. While both of them harbor genuine feelings for each other, destiny seems to have other plans for them. Previously, Eric Pollard admitted that he has been a victim of a cryptocurrency scam. It resulted in him losing Brenda’s entire life savings.
The shocking revelations did not stop there. Emmerdale Spoilers reveal that in a recently aired scene, he admitted that his proposal to Brenda was actually caused by a side effect of his latest medication for Parkinson’s disease. However, he did go on to add that his feelings for Brenda are genuine, and he wouldn’t mind being married to her. In the December 5, 2024, episode, Eric bought her some beautiful flowers and tried to make her laugh, all in an attempt to win her over.
Unfortunately, the damage had already been done to their relationship. Despite all of Eric’s attempts, Brenda seemed to have made up her mind. Eric surprised Brenda by shutting down the shop. He laid out a table full of her favorite food and then went on to propose to her. They were momentarily interrupted by Liam Cavanagh, who came to buy milk.
A Tearful Goodbye
However, after Liam left, Brenda asked Eric not to repeat his question as her answer was “No.” She reminded her that he recently admitted to her that he couldn’t imagine seeing himself married. Thus, she could guess that he was proposing to her only to make things right between them. And not because he actually wanted to marry her. We know that Brenda Walker is exiting the soap.
So, could that mean that this breakup between them is permanent? Brenda told Eric that she’d move out of the house and move into a B&B, as they tearfully exchanged goodbyes.
