Meghan Markle & Harry Tried Upstaging Kate?
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are in the spotlight once again, and it’s not for the right reasons. The estranged royal couple has been slammed as inappropriate for releasing their highlight video of this year on the same day Kate welcomed the Amir of Qatar for a royal state visit. Royal fans saw the Princess of Wales in a major role this week. She joined Prince William for the guest visit – for the first time since her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
As for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Archewell Foundation released its annual impact report with information on the couple’s philanthropic efforts throughout the year. They also released a small video showcasing some of Harry and Meghan’s most iconic moments in 2024. However, a royal expert has now slammed the pair for this. And mentioned that they have broken an ‘unwritten rule’, as per Daily Express.
While speaking to the publication, expert Richard Fitzwilliams said, “Harry and Meghan have never subscribed to the unwritten rule that. When in the Royal Family, you should not share the spotlight when it should be on other royals.” He also shed light on how media coverage is crucial to all the royal trips, charitable events, and anything else the Royal family does. “Catherine has only attended a very few royal events this year. While she has bravely battled cancer,” he noted.
