Kate Middleton Is Shortlisted For TIME’s Award
Kate Middleton is in the running for a huge award that Meghan Markle once didn’t win. According to sources, the future queen has been nominated along with nine other candidates to be TIME Magazine’s 2024 Person of the Year. And the organisation shortlisted Kate’s name on the list after she “made international headlines this year and stirred a conversation about privacy and health for public figures.”
Royal fans know that the royal mother-of-three has had a challenging year when it comes to her health. We know she was first admitted to hospital at the beginning of the year for abdominal surgery. This led to Kensington Palace announcing that she will take a break from royal duties until Easter. A lot of conspiracy theories went underway until Kate appeared in a video in March. And announced that she has been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer.
After struggling with it for a few months, Kate announced in September that her chemotherapy session had been completed and that she would return to duties slowly. Kate’s nomination comes after sister-in-law Meghan was also nominated for the award in 2018, the year she married Prince Harry. However, she ultimately lost out on the accolade.
