Days of Our Lives really took viewers on a wild ride when they teased that Abigail could still be alive. However, it soon became clear that the woman who was pretending to be Abigail was a fake. In reality, she was Cat Greene, a woman planted by Clyde Weston in Chad DiMera’s life. Even though she was initially conning Chad, the two ended up having hypnotic chemistry!
Thankfully, now the new writers are trying to clean up the storyline to perhaps facilitate a romance between Chad and Cat! Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Clyde’s plan was to plant Cat in Chad’s life as Abigail, and get them to remarry. Later, Cat’s brother Mark was to kill Chad and usurp Chad’s wealth for Clyde in exchange for their mother’s life. Who was recently revealed to be Catherina.
In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, Chad’s portrayer, Billy Flynn, praised the new head writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford. The actor revealed that he loves where the writers are taking Chad and Cat. He teased that the writing will start a whole new era on DOOL. Billy revealed that he and AnnaLynne have great chemistry in real life. And that’s why Chad and Cat have an excellent one on-screen.
Billy admitted that while Chad isn’t the picture of absolute goodness, he still is the more forgiving DiMera. Moreover, he understands that Cat did everything under duress. He probably would have done the same thing. In fact, moving forward, he even teased a possible romance between them. “I’m never going to play Chad as if any other love is going to be as great as Abigail. But everybody needs to move on at some point.”
So, all the fans who have been rooting for Chad and Cat have some hope to hold on to. However, we wonder if Chad really can move on or not. He certainly couldn’t commit to Stephanie.
