Prince Harry And His New Project Heavily Criticised!
Prince Harry and Meghan’s latest documentary with the streaming giant has been released, but not everyone is impressed by it. The new series delves into the elite world of Polo. A sport that the Duke has played for many years. After leaving the royal fold, the estranged royals signed a billion-pound deal with Netflix, and Polo is their fourth project. One Royal expert and author has now branded the show ‘boring’ for viewers.
While speaking to The Sun, journalist cum author, Phil Dampier said, “Polo is a very niche sport. It’s very much a sport for very wealthy people. The average person can’t afford a polo mallet or stick let alone a horse or a horse box. I don’t think it’s going to attract many new players.” Viewers could only see Prince Harry a handful of times. And, once in episode five of the series where he interviews a Polo legend Adolfo Cambiaso.
Dampier also noted that the Duke and Duchess are hardly in the program, and the amount they’re paying for them, reputedly 80 to 100 million dollars, is not really a great deal. I’m not quite sure why Netflix has done this,” he added. The Guardian gave the series just two out of five stars, calling the sport “the stupidest, most obnoxious sport known to humanity” and a “playground of the rich.”
