EastEnders: Ruby Allen Actress Bags A New Role!
EastEnders legend Louisa Lytton recently reprised her role as Ruby Allen on the soap. And now, she will take on an entirely new role away from Albert Square in general. According to sources, the soap star has landed a role in the latest UK tour of the mystery thriller The Girl on the Train. It will kick off in Chester’s Storyhouse Theatre in April 2025. Lytton will be taking on the character of Rachel Watson.
This latest work of the actress is based on the best-selling novel by Paula Hawkins – which was adapted into a 2016 film starring Emily Blunt. It revolves around a woman whose only escape from her boring life is looking at the perfect couple through the window of a train. The popular star will take over the role of Rachel from Giovanna Fletcher. She will then pass on the baton to Laura Whitmore in June 2025.
The synopsis of the stage adaptation noted, “When Rachel learns that the woman she’s been secretly watching has suddenly disappeared, she finds herself as a witness and even a suspect in a thrilling mystery in which she will face bigger revelations than she could ever have anticipated.” Her play will be available in Chester, Woking, Birmingham, Southend, Liverpool, Leicester and Cardiff.

As for Lytton’s stint on the BBC soap, she made her debut back in 2005. She has once again returned to Walford for a prolonged stint. She is currently involved in an intriguing storyline where her son is critically ill, and the father of her kid, Martin, is stepping in. But, trouble is approaching the duo soon.
